With the weather being so nice and both kids in school, I am able to make myself my a picnic and indulge in some juicy reads. As much as I love things online, I still haven’t embraced reading books online so heading to my local bookstore is always a treat. So enjoy

This month’s Spa Week Daily Book Club feature is Against The Wild (The Brodies of Alaska series #1) by Kat Martin.  If you are a lover of suspense, romance and mystery then this is a must summer read.

The story follows Dylan Brodie, his daughter, Emily and Lane Bishop.  Dylan and Lane, both have  been abandoned by someone they’ve loved in the past and are now brought together on a project to remodel Dylan’s fishing lodge. Sparks fly rapidly, followed by haunts, ghostly noises and visions in the lodge….we are then left to wonder if the lodge is haunted or if its foul play.

This novel is faced past and filled with romance from the beginning to end.  This seres is sure to make the readers beg for more, which is why I can’t wait to see what happens in the next “Broadies of Alaska” series.

Kicking off the May Book Club over at Spa Week Daily is A Family Affair by Fern Michaels.  If you are a lover of romance novels or looking for a summer read, then this is indeed the book to pick up.

From #1 New York Times bestselling author Fern Michaels, comes a captivating and heartfelt new novel, as a young dancer finds an unexpected partner–and gains the courage to live according to her heart. . . This novel will have you simply falling in love with all the characters and will capture you with its romance, drama and intrigue.  The biggest twist in the story made me so sad, but yet left me feeling that it was how it should be.
