Diaper GenieI enjoy watching celeb moms going through the same things I go through in raising a child.  Just something fun to know that no matter what a person has in the bank, what they have done in life, who they  are, or what the do — they still have to change a dirty diaper.  My youngest is going on 16 months and he is growing up way too fast – I will miss this age, but I will not miss the diapers. T is a bottomless pit who will eat anything and everything that is in the same zip code as him.  All that good and a size 3 diaper make for some less than enjoyable trips to the changing table everyday.

Living in an apartment I can’t be walking town the hall to the trash room every time I change a diaper and I can’t just toss diapers in the garbage pail under my sink.  You want to keep me from cooking – make the kitchen smell like a dirty diaper.  Luckily I use the Diaper Genie by Playtex and have since my oldest first came home from the hospital.  The below video discusses the Genie, but also gives some really good tips for handling diapering on the go, around the house, and  ways to make your life a bit less hectic.  Check it out on the next page and also find a $2 coupon for refills.

Whoever said that potty training can be done overnight, must not have any children…Geez, just when I thought that Lil B had been free and clear of diapers, we would then go back to square one where he would either wet the bed or have to be changed about five or six times a day from potty accidents.

So when I was asked to review an overnight diaper that claims to be extra absorbent with an exceptional value – I couldn’t wait to try to it out… View Post

Do you have a child who has bedwetting issues? Yep!  Lil B has been potty trained for 6 months now and when we thought we were in the clear of purchasing anymore diapers, I hadn’t really taken in the consideration of him wetting the bed.  As a parents I struggle with guilt thinking that my 3 year old has a problem ie anxiety, loneliness, etc, but in all reality this is just common and sooner or later this will be a thing of the past, but in the meantime what is a parent to do… View Post

While I am not by any means considered an “earthy” mom, I do however find myself on occasion using products that are eco-friendly, especially when it comes to baby products.  So when I had the opportunity to try out Jessica Alba‘s eco-friendly, non toxic baby products called the The Honest Company, I jumped at the chance.

I was recently given a small sample of diapers and wipes to try out and was sold immedialty on how cute, trendy and how eye-catching the packaging was.

Besides its eco-friendly, non toxic baby and home products, what impressed me the most is that the company takes in supporting companies that give back. So I was pleased to learn that The Honest Company donates time, products, and money to a great organization. Their current charitable partner is Baby2Baby.org, a non-profit that supplies families in need with essential baby gear and clothing for children up to age 12.
