Every mom needs a night out and when that night out is a private dinner event hosted by The Bachelor’s Sean Lowe & Catherine Giudici-Lowe you book your sitter almost immediately. This “tasty” event was sponsored by Bertolli® Rustic Cut™ Pasta Sauces and was held on October 4, from 6-9 p.m. at the Gramercy Park Hotel NYC. I became inspired to create my very own Tuscan-styled dinner right in my very kitchen (check out my recipe below).

Specialty cocktails on-hand, great conversations, and dinner all prepared with Bertolli® Rustic Cut™ Pasta Sauces, made this mom’s night out so well deserved. The evening definitely inspired me to take my “boring” pasta night up a notch with New Bertolli® Rustic Cut™ Pasta Sauces.

From the Roasted Branzino, Chicken Cacciatore, and Cavatelli, it was as if one had left NYC and escaped to Tuscany. Inspired by Francesco Bertolli’s, the brand’s founder, the commitment to simply cooked meals, using quality ingredients and olive oil to lock in flavor, was featured in all of our meals. Since there are NO artificial colors, NO artificial flavors, and NO sugar added to the Rustic Cut Pasta Sauces, each and every taste was enjoyable.

Finding ways to make new pasta dishes that are hearty with sauces made using fresh ingredients has always been a priority when it comes to preparing meals for my family. Now that Bertolli® has released the new Bertolli® Rustic Cut™ Pasta Sauces, I can skip the chopping of vegetables and spices on busy nights and focus on engaging in “hearty” conversations with the family.

When I received my complimentary coupons for sauces I headed straight to the supermarket to pick up my very own jar of Bertolli® Rustic Cut™ Marinara sauce.

When I cracked open the jar of Bertolli® Rustic Cut™ Pasta sauce the fresh aroma was incredible. These sauces are made with fresh herbs creating a bold and fresh sauce.  Combined with the fresh vegetables my one skillet vegetable meal is going to scream outdoor dinners in the patio.

Yesterday, I was invited to attend a fabulous Tweet-Up event hosted by Children’s Tylenol located on the rooftop of the Hudson Terrace NYC located at 621 West 46th Street.  Among the sea of beautiful bloggers were moms like me, who were vying to ask the well renowned pediatrician and author of Mommy Calls: Dr. Tanya Answers Parents’ Top 101 Questions About Babies and Toddlers,  Dr. Tanya (@DrMommyCalls) our kids health concerns. But before Dr. Tanya started her Q&A, we were able to indulge in some delish refreshments, lunch and yummy dessert.

After hamming it up for the prop photo booth with new blogger friend Pamela over at A Little Glitter, we were introduced to The Children’s Health Fund and of their amazing health care resources, especially of their mobile clinics aka “doctor on wheels”.  These mobile clinics are readily available in New York City outside of shelters and schools where children have little to no health care.

After a brief tour of the mobile unit, we were then brought back inside to begin the Q&A with Dr. Tanya Altman.  She answered everything from cold & flu season to how to handle a biting toddler (um, that was my question).

All in all, for cold  & flu:

1. Keep your kids from touching their faces.  Germs are usually in our hands and when it goes to the face, that’s how germs spread

2. Get flu vaccinated.  The flu mist is mostly popular amongst kids.  If you have trouble remembering when to get vaccinated, mark your calendars the week of Halloween.

3. Download the must have mom app:  Kid’s Wellness Tracker. Its tracks your Tylenol dosages and children’s vaccinations. This is a great resource for on the go moms.

Me and the Dr. Tanya….if she lived nearby I would be calling her everyday about raising boys..um she’s expiating baby boy #3 (congrats!)

Just a few weeks ago selected bloggers were invited to meet some exciting new and established brands up close and personal. If you are a Mom or a gal about town all of these brands will apply to you.

The event was presented by Single Edition Media with special guest brands; Elizabeth Arden, Glo, BluePrint Cleanse, Foot Petals, Nanette Lepore, and Completely Bare. Bloggers from all areas including beauty, fashion and lifestyle were on board to experience the new Delta T4Terminal pop up while taking a moment to experience these new products.

Guest were able to speak with travel friendly brands up close and personal like Glo teeth whitening, Foot Petals, Elizabeth Arden, who introduced the Ceramide capsules for the skin. During my conversation with reps from the brand I learned that these little capsules can keep your skin smooth and hydrated during a flight. Since they are capsules it’s the perfect carry- on beauty item. I was pretty excited to chose one of the lip gloss samples offered that night as well. I chose Rose Gold which actually smells a tad bit like chocolate.

Check out my Elizabeth Arden make over at the event. Thanks to Single Minded Media, Delta, Elizabeth Arden and of course to Gina for the opportunity to attend this fun filled event.
