So I’ve been a mom now for about nine years and I must say that I have it down to a almost a science…ha ha! That is so hysterical..please I couldn’t even continue with such a lie and type that with such a straight face. Please, I am far from having it down pact at all. Motherhood has its ups and downs, sideways and zigzags but, I am glad that I was chosen to be the mom to these two kiddos. In honesty, these two could not have come at a better time. With the pressure of work, pressure of doing it all just ceased to exist anymore once I became a mother and oh boy did they teach me me a thing or two about myself so let me share, cause I’m sure you too can agree….
Look I get it…motherhood is not a bed of roses each and everyday, its full of its up and downs..from late night feedings, ensuring your child is being the best he/she can be, stressing about the type of friends your child will interact with, bullying, you name it. Trust me motherhood is tough, not because you are doing it wrong, because its tough for every mom. All the wisdom and courage you need to be the best mother ever is inside you, inside your self doubt, inside your mind…Ok so right now let’s vow to be that mother you can be without the self doubt and intimidation, trust me, you are not alone. So today I am going to share with you 5 reasons why I love motherhood and why you should, too..trust me you’ll feel great knowing it….
When the hubby and I decided that it was time to add kids to our twosome, I never realized that I was preparing my body and mind for the Motherhood of Olympics. My body ached, stretched in areas unmentionable, all to receive the ultimate medal of them all…a beautiful boy…not once but, twice. Yep, I am a two-time gold medal winner. So if you are ready to commit your body and mind to long sleepless nights, you may have the mindset of the next great Mompian. Since you’re already dreaming of that medal, why wait any longer? Let’s go!

Oh yea, there are things that I hate admitting doing as a Mom for the sake of my kids but, I guess the first step is admitting it right??!
Now with my oldest in summer camp, having a total blast, who would have expected a mommy melt down? NO PARENTS CHAPERONE ON FIELD TRIP, read my son’s permission slip. What???! Oh hell no…What is this over-protective, crazed mom to do???!… I can either be a crazy stalker mom or…
Thanks to the folks over at Bravo TV I now am hooked to their new scripted comedy, Odd Mom Out, based off the novel, Momzillas by Jill Kargman.
I think that all of my friends (whether you are a mom or not) can agree that this is must see TV!
Watch the trailer to find out why this will be the newest show that I obsess over!
Jill, the lovable “Odd Mom” lives in Upper East Side New York with her family and can’t help but make fun of her competitive parenting environment. Now as an Odd Mom myself, I can truly relate. From Kindergarten applications to the pressures of joining a spinning class.
But what better way to share your Odd Mom-isms than sharing it with friend who accepts all of you and keeps things in a “realistic” perspective.
