tying shoes hackNow that my son is entering 2nd grade, I am doing a checklist on things to increase in independence..and being able to tie his own shoes is on of those milestones.  But being teaching a kid to tie their own shoes can be one of the most difficult things to teach EVER! So after several failed attempts at trying to teach the “bunny ears” method and the “wrap around method” I had all but given up.  But not until come across this awesome SHOE TYING HACK.

Yep, I’m one of those moms. The kind of mom who watches her (almost) 7 year old walk two feet away to school, a mom that eagerly anticipates those emails about being class parent or class chaperone or class parent something oh and remember the time that I fought a two year old ? Oh yea, there are things that I hate admitting doing as a Mom for the sake of my kids but, I guess the first step is admitting it right??!

Now with my oldest in summer camp, having a total blast, who would have expected a mommy melt down?  NO PARENTS CHAPERONE ON FIELD TRIP, read my son’s permission slip. What???!  Oh hell no…What is this over-protective, crazed mom to do???!… I can either be a crazy stalker mom or…

With my son entering Kindergarten and now with 21 new friends to share his time with, I’ve decided to make Lil B his own business cards.  Well, if moms can have calling cards, then why can’t your  little one have their own calling card when its time to arrange those playdates. To a few of my friends, this sounded insane but, while browsing the internet for templates and/or my favorite handmade craft site, Etsy…there were tons to choose from.
