1. Cover Up:  If your tummy feels too exposed with a bare midriff, try layering an open cardigan, jacket, or blazer over your top so that only a hint of skin is showing in the front. Or match it with a pencil skirt.  Its the epitome of sleek and sophisticated style and can even be worn throughout the cool season.

2. Play with Proportions: I love how Bey proportions her crop top with her skirt. To strike a balance with your tinier top, wear a high-waisted skirt or high-rise trousers on the bottom. But please definitely no low-cut jeans!

3. Box It Up: If your style is more feminine or if you are trying to conceal your hips or bottom, opt for an a-line, full skirt. Longer, tea length skirts are so on trend and they balance out the sexy top — rocking a crop top skirt combo is all about balance! For example, if you’re going to wear a mini skirt, cover up more on top and select a look that features sleeves.

4. Leave it to Layers: So what is one to do when fall and winter arrives?   the look of a cropped sweater with a crisp button-down shirt underneath is perfect. Flat abs or not, anyone can pull off this chic look.  Or rock it out like Kim K, simply slip on your favorite hip hugging dress and pair it with a cozy crop top.  voila!

5. Totally Max It Up:  This look is romantic, minimalist, and, in my opinion, perfect for every season.  All it takes is a soft, flowy maxi skirt in a delicate print and a white sleeveless cropped blouse. The accessories shouldn’t compete with the rest of the look, so keep it simple with leg-elongating ankle strap heels and a twisted gold cuff. For the finishing touch, style your hair in a loose and effortless braid.

There you have it! I hope these tips help you to feel a little more confident about trying out the crop top trend.
