I laughed, cried and couldn’t help but reminisce of my own special moments shared with my husband while watching The Vow in theaters this past February. The first time we met, our first kiss and the moment we said our I-do’s are always with me..even those love letters and cards that we’ve exchanged in our first years of dating.  Now with our family growing, we share even more fond memories.

The Vow stars Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams in a touching romantic drama based on a true story. Husband Leo (Channing Tatum) is faced with the unthinkable heartbreak when his wife, Paige (Rachel McAdams), recovers from an accident without her memory of their relationship. Not your typical romance, the film follows Leo as he works to win Paige’s heart all over again.

8. Ask HIM for help!

9. When taking your kid’s pictures, DON’T say cheese, SAY “PIZZA”!…what kid doesn’t love pizza.

Since my son began nursery school, I have been collecting his first scribble, holiday projects and other collection of work that I just can’t seem to part with, but what is a mom to do with all of these memories without it becoming clutter??? So in speaking with my mom friends they’ve encouraged me to display my son’s the art for the world to see, with no unorganized mess. So, here are just a few creative ways to show off your kids masterpieces:

1. Coffee Table BookShutterfly or Kodak Gallery photo books are a great, inexpensive way to showcase your kiddie’s works. It only takes a few simple steps, to organize, edit and arrange and then with just a few clicks, it’s on its way.

2.  Turn Art into Jewelry – Send your favorite piece of your kids’ art to an Etsy seller, and they’ll create a beautiful clay pendant from it which you can put on a necklace and proudly wear around town.

3. Make a Collage – Instead of storing those cute cards in a draw, why not showcase them?! We love this idea from Martha Stewart to create a handmade picture rail to display your kids art. All you need is some fiberboard, fabric, glue gun, nails and a hammer and you’re good to go.

4. Frame children’s artwork – Take out children’s artwork and old family photos, frame and hang them.

5. Scrap It – If the original does not fit then scan or photocopy your child’s art. Instead of hand-journaling, type and print your story. Black letters will pop against a colorful background and each line can be cut to fit your layout.

How do you show off your kid’s artwork? I want to see your creative ways to exhibit their artwork so be sure to leave a comment and upload photos!

Congrats on your pregnancy!  So, you signed up for prenatal yoga, dragged your partner to child birthing classes and asked several of your mommy friends for breastfeeding tips, but wait there’s one more aspect that you may have forgotten…..looking glam during your delivery!  Just take it from new POSH mommy, Beyonce, who revealed in People Magazine her predelivery primping for Baby Blue Ivy.

I did have a fresh eyebrow wax . . . I got my nails done, I got my feet done, had my hair done, and I had my little lip gloss . . . I didn’t feel that I looked beautiful during birth, but who does? After being pumped with all those fluids and gaining so much weight . . . I barely recognized myself.

Preparing for the arrival of your newborn can leave you feeling a bit anxious, so why not get a little glammed right before the late night feedings begin?  Before Lil B’s birth, I got my hair colored (which was deemed safe in the third trimester) and blown out, visited the nail salon, shaved my legs and got a bikini wax.  Not only did it feel good to have some “me” time before motherhood, but it wasn’t such a big deal when I was being photographed without makeup (which I knew would be shared with co-workers, friends and family).

Here’s a few more tips to do before giving birth…. View Post
