It’s no secret that people are frustrated with their wireless experience, but people tolerate less because they don’t believe there is a better option. You deserve better! YES you!  So why not make that switch to a provider that gets you and your hectic schedule?

By introducing Hello Better to the public, U.S. Cellular is encouraging people to say goodbye to dysfunctional wireless relationships and say hello to a better experience. U.S. Cellular is calling attention to the aggravation customers have with their wireless carriers and proving that a better relationship ispossible.

As a mompreneur, settling for anything less is simply not an option, so when I signed up with US Cellular about a year ago, I never turned back.  Being able to connect with my readers, scheduling posts, catching up on my emails and browsing through online magazines has made this blogger’s life easy and fun.

I’m a happy U.S. Cellular customer, and I’m not alone. They have the highest satisfaction rating of any national carrier. U.S. Cellular provides customers with unique benefits such as the industry’s only points-based rewards program, no contract after the first contract ends, free incoming calls and texts, free Overage Protection and free Battery Swap for your device.

To say hello to a better wireless relationship, visit a U.S. Cellular store or uscellular.com.

This week I received my June Mom VoxBox from Influenster, which contained mystery sample goodies for me to try out and give my opinion on. If you are not familiar with Influenster, it’s a community that offers feedback and product reviews in exchange for samples and special rewards from major brands.  It was so much fun to open the package and see what cool products I was lucky enough to score to test out.

Inside my June Mom VoxBox

Here’s a look inside the box:

To be honest the only item in the box that was a HUGE hit in my household was the Quaker Soft Baked Cookie…as soon I pulled out the package, my son yelled “cookies!”…I think he and I inhaled it in about 2 seconds.  Yum!  The only downfall was that it only had one cookie…seriously???!  How is one suppose to do an accurate review with just one piece of cookie…LOL!
All in all, the Influenster VoxBox experience was just OK.  I am still in the process of testing the rest of the contents so I’ll be sure to update you on my “Lee Press On Nails” experience.
If you’re interested in trying the Influenster program you can sign up at http://www.influenster.com.

With the warm summer months among us, barbecued sloppy Joes and hearty beach burgers can become regulars on the menu. Lazy summer days make it easy to skimp on the healthy foods and simply say, “I’ll add ‘eating healthy’ to my New Years Resolutions in 6 months.” However, with fresh seasonal foods making a debut this season, summer is the perfect time to eat clean—not only for yourself, but for your children, too! Take a look at the following healthy habits you should develop this summer. Feel free to print it, tape it to the fridge, and live by it!

Healthy Habit #1: Portion control is everything.
Many people lose weight and keep it off with the simple strategy of portion control. Eliminating or even limiting certain foods is hard during the summer time, but it’s even harder on your waistline if you don’t. To combat this dilemma, do the next best thing: eat reasonably small portions, limit the foods you know you should limit (yes, that means skipping out on those greasy burgers), and don’t stuff yourself.

Healthy Habit #2: Set a good example.
If you are bringing a dish to a summer party or barbecue, bring a naturally nutritious dish or make a low-fat version. This way, you’re not only giving yourself a healthy option, but you’re giving partygoers the option to eat healthier. If you have children, do not overeat in front of them. You are their role model and if you eat in moderation, they too will follow that lead. Also, don’t feel obligated to eat anything that you don’t want to. No one is going to get upset if you don’t try their frosted chocolate cupcake if it means helping you meet your lifestyle goals. View Post

Pregnant? Yay, congratulations! But you may be feeling a little less than enthusiatic about your impending growing belly if you are experiencing morning sickness. Even the term “morning sickness” can leave us feeling a bit queasy, cause seriously, we all know that its not in the morning that we are feeling sick.

So, here are 10 things that have been shown to relieve the misery:

  1. Brew fresh ginger root in a cup of tea, pick up some ginger ale or take a 300 mg capsule.
  2. Eat a diet high in protein and complex carbohydrates.
  3. Sip chicken broth to help you get some calories in along with the  liquid.
  4. Stick with cold foods—hot foods have a stronger smell, which can trigger  queasiness.
  5. Stash a few Preggie Pops in your bag for on-the-go, all-natural relief.
  6. Eat leafy greens because they’re rich in vitamin K, which seems to  help.
  7. Eat brown rice
  8. Try acupuncture.
  9. Get light exercise.
  10. Use a mouth rinse after vomiting and after each meal to keep your mouth  fresh, reduce nausea and reduce the amount of tooth decay that can occur from  the interaction of stomach acid with enamel.
