Review: CitySights NY Twilight Cruise Tour

If it’s your first time exploring New York, one of the easiest ways to get familiar with the iconic landmarks of the city is to take a guided tour and that’s where CitySights NY can help.

Last week I had the opportunity to hop on the CitySights NY Twilight Cruise (90-minutes) and took in the sights of New York.  Even though I grew up in NY (Brooklyn to be exact!) going on the CitySights tour was a huge treat and is indeed now one of my favorite things to do.

With CitySights NY Tours You’ll get up close and personal with famous sites like:

• Brooklyn Bridge
• Empire State Building
• Chrysler Building
• World Trade Center
• Much more.

Staff was amazing and knowledgable in all things New York.  This in indeed a tour to be taken with the entire family.

My only disappointment was the lack of condiments served at the mini-snack bar.  Since the boat debarks at 7:30PM, I would recommend eating beforehand.  At around 8:00PM or so I was getting a little cranky and couldn’t wait to devour a huge meal. But no biggie, being able to chat it up with the other tourist on board made it that much enjoyable as we all shared our love for New York.

However, if you are looking to eat and drink while touring the sights,  there are Brunch cruises, where you’ll enjoy a world-class meal while you sail along the Hudson River and surrounding bay. This a great way to see the places you can’t appreciate from mainland, including the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.
