How To Look Posh At A Bridal Shower

bridal shower

I can’t tell you how much I love this time of year … that’s right WEDDING SEASON! And with my cousin getting married in just a few short months and my oldest being the ring bearer, I am beyond excited. And now that the bridal  shower is only mere weeks away I have been on the hunt for the perfect outfit…but first, here are some general rules when it comes to planing your bridal shower attire as a guest:

1. Don’t Wear Solid White
Let the Bride shine on her special day.
2. Don’t Wear Solid Black
Solid black is too reminiscent of a funeral or mourning.
3. Don’t Wear Red
Red is too “look at me”.
4. When in Doubt, Wear Something on the Dressier Side
No one wants to be underdressed. Opt for a dress, if the dress code isn’t clear.
5. Go for Color or Prints
A bridal shower is a great excuse to wear a fun, colorful dress. Go for solid bright colors like pink or yellow. Try a fun print like florals, polka dots or classic stripes. Or accent a classic navy dress with a colorful statement necklace.

So when a recent fashion challenge asked me to partner with eBates, I immediately jumped at the chance and began the hunt to find the perfect outfit. I am not usually an online shopper, but with two kids to run after, there is simply not enough time in the day to  peruse through the racks, let alone try on anything.  And now with the help of this challenge, not only did I save time on my shopping experience, got a FAB outfit, but got cash back for simply logging on to eBates…find out how and see my entire look below:

Here’s what you need to do:  Sign up for eBates, shop and then get a cash reward for shopping.  One of my favorite stores, Lord & Taylor offers 2.5% cash  back.   Which made it that much easier and smarter to pick  out THE perfect bridal shower outfit.

In following the DO’s of the appropriate attire,  I choose this beautiful floral printed, GUESS strapless hi-lo dress (originally $148, sale price $118),  DKNYC Shawl Collar Jacket – not shown (originally $149, sale price$71) and then added a sparkly belt from BCBG MaxAria ($78) to cinch my post baby waistline.

And what makes this outfit even that much better, is that I will get a check in the mail from eBates for 2.5% of this total purchase. So what are you waiting for, SIGN UP TODAY!!!!
