How To Maintain Your Unruly Locks

How is a busy mom suppose to look POSH while still maintain a household?  Simply, with the help of….

Pantene Pro-V Collection.

My hair routine is fairly simple, since I always find myself putting it up in a ponytail, but how did I get there?  From combing, tugging, coloring, flat ironing and blow drying..geez, and all just for a lousey ponytail.

If you are like me and tend to have brittle, dry hair from color, harsh chemicals and heat then this is the post for you…

A lot of shampoos and conditioners for African Americans weight down the hair from all its greasy ingredients…So, when I was asked to try out Pantene Pro-V Truly Relaxed Collection (Shampoo & Conditioner affordably priced at $4.99) you must know how hesitate I was, but wow was I really surprised. The coconut and jojoba oils are a nice addition.  The Intense Moisturizing Shampoo worked great when it came to relieving the dryness. I could instantly run my fingers through my wet hair.  And we know how impossible that can be.  The Moisturizing Conditioner also left my hair noticeably shinier compared to the product I was using before.

I have been using the product for over a week now so see my pros and cons list below:

Pros:

  • Detangles like nothing I’ve ever used…ever!
  • Leaves my hair soft and shiny
  • Smells great
  • No more split ends
  • The price is great!
  • Leaves no build up

Cons:

  • I wish it came in a larger size.
  • Hard to find at my local drugstore…clearly everyone wants a Pantene fix.

African American women with chemically relaxed hair can be left with excessively dry hair. This collection features gentle cleansing with protection against dryness and breakage with oil-enriched Pro-V shampoo and conditioner that moisturizes and protects while still leaving your hair clean and shiny.

Have any of my love muffins tried either one of the lines? Let me know what you think in the comments!

I’ll have to give it a try. I’m Latina so I have very curly hair and none of those advertised as “moisturizing” at the drugstore work for me.
