Fashion Face Off: Michelle Obama vs. Ann Romney

Who says fashion and politics doesn’t mix???  Fashion in the White House can make or break an election…well at least for this fashionista it does.  The wives wardrobe in the race of their man’s run to the White House has raised some eyebrows to us viewers at home..even more so than Clint Eastwood’s unscripted speech. Here’s why….

For the past four years, Michelle Obama has educated us all about fashion, wowing us with wearable, affordable and accessible pieces which was indeed visible Tuesday night at the Democratic National Convention. Dressed in a pink and grey cocktail-length dress, designed by Tracy Reese (a mid-range priced dress) paired with J. Crews $245 suede pumps.

Then last week, Ann Romney dazzled us in a Oscar De La Renta red dress ensemble at the Republican National Convention. The reportedly $2,000 silk taffeta dress from De La Renta’s pre-fall 2012 collection has always been a favorite amongst “first ladies” – de la Renta was famous for dressing Jackie Kennedy.

Hello, I got here through Bloggy Moms 1,000+ and I am glad I did. I am fashion challenged so a site like this where I can learn about fashion and how to put it together is an excellent place for me. I look forward to returning.

More greetings from “Make My Morning” blog hop. Love your blog…so diverse! My vote goes to Michelle – Just so non-traditional in my opinion. Nothing wrong with a little break from tradition, once in a while.
