Are You Raising A Mama’s Boy

IMG_3902

I have been reading many articles on how to raise a boy into a man, I even did a post on things you need to know when raising a boy, but never did it occur to me that I might be raising not ONE but TWO mama’s boys..so does this mean that I’ll be raising boys forever???

So when my mom exclaims that my kids are both spoiled or that I am raising mama’s boys, I could only shrug my shoulders and ponder why must she say that…hmm, could it be because of this…

That I get my almost 5 year old dressed, even though he is capable of doing it himself? I’m the mother. It’s my job to help.

Because I tell my boys that no other woman would ever love them the way I do!

Maybe because I still wipe my almost 5 year old’s behind when he poops.

So whats the big deal with my 15 month old cries in hysterics when I leave him with daddy?

tyler crying

And what if my almost 5 year old still sleeps in the same bed with with his daddy and I?

Who needs a stroller?  My 15 month old has me to carry him everywhere.

So I ask you, mothers of sons, have you felt pushed, by family members, or just a general sense of what “ought” to be done, to have your boys “man up”? Then I say to that…who is anyone to tell you how to raise you boys differently, knowing that my boys love me unconditionally and they tell me how beautiful I am makes me know that I would not have it another way.

Do you still say Mama’s Boys? Puleaze!

At the end of the day, it’s how you care for them and treasure them that matters =)
