Over the weekend, I had the honor of experiencing the latest trends from the Simon Fashion Now® event at the Westchester Mall in White Plains, NY.  The event is a series of energetic fashion shows and interactive entertainment and the Westchester Mall was the first stop of a national tour.  Spotlighting up-to-the-minute looks for spring from more than 40 fashionable retailers at The Westchester, Simon Fashion Now® is a vibrant mix of accessible, luxurious and affordable style for men, women and children that provides shoppers the ability to purchase straight from the runway.  Each event offers advice and insight into the newest beauty trends, must-have accessories and fashionable flair available at select Simon properties.

This spring, Simon Fashion Now® will also visit King of Prussia Mall in King of Prussia, PA, on April 19 and 20, and Lenox Square in Atlanta, GA, on April 26 and 27.  All events are free and open to the public.

Here are a few shots from the Nordstrom Runway  Fashion Show. Filled with stripes, polka-dots and leather shorts made this fashionista droll with excitement.  Gotta have it all!

Check out my look after the jump!  Can you tell how much I LOVE color!

Jennifer Hudson shines on the cover of Lucky‘s January issue out December 11th. Jennifer opens up to Lucky about her shopping habit, dressing for her son and how she maintains her weight loss.

Highlights from the interview:

On the nickname her father gave her: “My father used to call me Miss Make- a-Hair,” she laughs. “If I’m tucked away in my room, I can’t help myself, I fool with my hair. I just like hair. And I hate hair salons! I like hair you can sleep in—wild, bed-head hair.” She runs her fingers through it, then pulls her hat down toward her face. “And a hat! I like showing my height, and this hat with the long coat kind of shows you how tall I am … ”

On her personal style: “My style has always been … odd,” she says. “I call it being free, expressing myself. You know, creative people? We like to express ourselves. When I was a little girl, I liked to cut up my clothes—we called it Jenniferizing. Or a J. Original! Just because it came that way doesn’t mean you have to wear it that way.” Hudson designed her own prom dress, her own Easter dress, dress after dress. “I would sketch it, and my mom and I would pick out the fabric and we’d have it made! I love to sketch! Everybody else was about the name brands—I’d go to Payless and get something nobody else had!” View Post
