After chasing after an active toddler each and every day, heels are usually not an option, so having to wear heels during yesterday’s Independent Fashion Bloggers Conference my feet could not wait for an escape – fast!.  So, thanks to the folks over at Kushyfoot products, my feet were singing “Alleluia”.  Seriously, I even heard them.

Kushyfoot sent me over a pair of their foldable, stashable Flats-to-go®  and lace foot covers for review and they couldn’t have come at better time. Its claim to fame is that they offer “affordable, purse-packable and elegant relief for weary feet”….and its all that and then some.

With its cute easy-to-carry purse packaging, it didn’t take up any space in bag. When I change from my heels to Kushyfoot, its cushion insoles gave my feet instant relief.  Also, with its stylish fabric and color (seven great colors to select from) it blended perfectly with my outfit.  It also claimed to work perfectly for indoors and “smooth” outdoor surfaces. So be warned, if wearing this product on your city streets, as like I, you will feel every pebble and crack, which is a minor downfall to this product.

Nonetheless, it is definelty worth it, prices range from $3.99 – $9.99! Kushyfoot can be found on Amazon.com or online at www.kushyfoot.com.

What tips or advice do you recommend for instant foot relief?

One thing is for certain, we can all dress like a celebrity…and right from our own closet!

When I saw singer, Alicia Keys dressed to impress at the 2011 BET Awards seen wearing a Dolce & Gabbana black and white creation, accessorized with Wilfredo Rosado fine jewelry, I immediately invaded my closet for some black and white finds.  Trust me, we all have them.

I am seen wearing another great piece from White House / Black Market – a strapless jumpsuit, which is a great trend seen worn by many celebrites and on the runaway.  Not only is it comfy, 5% spandex (another great way to give the illusion of skinny) but can be worn from day to night just by adding a few key accessories:

Getting Jennifer Aniston’s GORG-EOUS hair color might leave your pockets empty and a routine that is hard to maintain. And with a mom’s hectic schedule who can find the time, yet alone the money to maintain this look?

Jennifer Aniston

Well, don’t fret, looking great for LESS with NO FUSS can be achieved, thanks to great over-the-counter hair care formulas.  Who would have thought that great hair color can be done in your own kitchen sink?

As an expert of at-home hair color, I recommend buying two boxes of color.  Since I have thick hair, one box sometimes isn’t enough.    Also, be sure to read the instructions before applying.  Not one brand will be the same as the next.  One last note, be sure to protect your skin.  Wear an old t-shirt or wrap a towel around your neck and on the floor, this will catch the color and protect your skin from any drips of color.

  1. Get a long-lasting, permanent color with Garnier Nutrisse Nourishing Color (shown in 93 Light Golden Blonde Honey Butter).
  2. If you have chemically treated hair try L’Oreal Paris Healthy Look Creme Gloss Color (shown in Light Red Brown/Spiced Praline 6G), its a demi-permanent color and washes out in 28 shampoos, if you are also looking for commitment-free color.
  3. For shiny & smooth hair with a hint of sheer color, try  John Frieda Glaze (shown in Amber to Maple). It’s also great for hiding grays between coloring.
  4. For great tones and highlights try Clairol Nice ‘n Easy Color Blend Foam (shown in 5RB, Medium Reddish Brown).
