Ocean Spray in NYC

If you haven’t been up to Massachusetts to see the large Ocean Spray cranberry bogs and you want to see what they are all about you just have to swing over to Rockefeller Centerin New York City.  Nothing like checking out 2000 pounds of delicious cranberries in one of the busiest tourist destinations in the world for the holidays.  On hand to be part of the event was Maria Menounos of EXTRA who was sharing some healthy tips and recipes for you to enjoy through the holidays and beyond.  Cranberries have been a stable on everyone’s table at Thanksgiving, but so has overeating and holiday weight gain.  Well Maria reminds us that Cranberries can be used in many healthy recipes and that Reduces Sugar Craisins Dried Cranberries are also a great snack.  They have 50% less sugar than Original Craisans and are also a great source of fiber. Remember that just because the holidays are for enjoy great food with family doesn’t mean you can’t be healthy at the same time so remember to make Ocean Spray part of your holiday routine

My husband and I loved going out to the movies, but now that we have children movie night out is a thing of the past.  With two little kids at $20 a ticket, purchasing a big tub of popcorn (I mean a large is only $.50 more, right?!) and hiring a babysitter for our newborn makes going out to the theaters a little challenging. Trying to figure out what’s for dinner every night can be somewhat of a challenge…So I looked for some  Pinspiration and decided on good ole fashion spaghetti and meatballs…what kid (and grown up) doesn’t love spaghetti and meatballs.  But instead of frying the meatballs I decided to take the healthy route and bake them instead.  And WOW was it delish!
